I am a machine quilter.  I began sewing my clothes as a teenager and have followed the usual path of handcrafts—crocheting, knitting, embroidering and hand quilting.  It took me almost thirty years to complete my first hand-appliquéd and hand-quilted quilt.

When I discovered Harriet Hargrave’s first machine quilting book in 1988, I knew that the marriage of my sewing machine and quilting was here to stay.
